Comment on Day 25: The Great Ocean Road by Beth https://davidteresa.com/2016/11/day-25-the-great-ocean-road/#comment-9 Sat, 05 Nov 2016 09:47:47 +0000 http://davidteresa.com/?p=152#comment-9 Is the photo of the Grotto a HDR shot? It is a pity about the crowds at the 12 Apostles , well about 8 only are left anyway. We thought that there was lots of other stops along the way with equally picturesque views.

Comment on Day 24: Portland, Cape Bridgewater by Beth https://davidteresa.com/2016/11/day-24-portland-cape-bridgewater/#comment-8 Thu, 03 Nov 2016 22:13:23 +0000 http://davidteresa.com/?p=139#comment-8 For when you get to Apollo Bay do not go to the caravan park in the town and not on the foreshore. You would not like it at all. There is one heading out of town towrds Melb high on cliff that looks nice and another the Portland side of AB that is treed and close to the water. It is in the area called Marengo and takes pets. Just looked it up 3.9 stars.

Don’t forget the Otway Fly. It is great.

Comment on Day 23: Robe to Portland by Beth https://davidteresa.com/2016/11/day-23-robe-to-portland/#comment-7 Wed, 02 Nov 2016 21:06:11 +0000 http://davidteresa.com/?p=134#comment-7 Portland for Databook. Do you remember David we had an overpriced and underwhelming dinner at a restaurant near the foreshore. I think it was seafood, maybe crayfish.

Check out the Anderson blog for their adventures in Portland at the beginning of their 3 month trip to S.A.

What a lunch David, Teresa’s was certainly healthier. You could not have eaten that awhile ago.

Comment on Day 21: Goolwa, Cape Jervis, Yankalilla by Beth https://davidteresa.com/2016/10/day-21-goolwa-cape-jervis-yankalilla/#comment-3 Tue, 01 Nov 2016 09:07:46 +0000 http://davidteresa.com/?p=111#comment-3 Yankalilla as a town was a foil to where the radar base actually was.. I can’t remember the name of the town where the base was, but I’m surprised the locals had no idea. Ba and other war survivors had at least 2 “back to” events there. I have just looked at the map and Delaware, much closer to the sea and overlooking the passage between Kangroo Island & the mainland rings a bell. When we were on the K.I ferry Ba had said look up at the cliffs as you approach or leave the ferry terminal and you will see the remains of the “Doover” (Radar) I tried but couldn’t make anything out from the water. Yankallilla is much further inland. Sorry. I should have looked at Google Maps before you set off. Didn’t know you were going for a look though.

Comment on Day 19: Victor Harbor by Beth https://davidteresa.com/2016/10/day-19-victor-harbor/#comment-2 Sun, 30 Oct 2016 05:17:16 +0000 http://davidteresa.com/?p=96#comment-2 We have been out to lunch and afternoon tea, not that we ate any amazing local produce but we enjoyed the company for friends. The gusty change reached here about an hour ago and is very unpleasant so you made the right choice by staying an extra day. Does Leo get some local food treats too? Sounds like you are both having a great time.
